After 70 years of struggling, Kashmir got independence today. BJP minister and Home Minister of India Amit Shah on Monday (5th August 2019) reported that the legislature has issued a notice as a result rejecting Article 370 from the Indian Constitution. Article 370 of the constitution is a ‘transitory arrangement’ allowing unique self-ruling status to Jammu and Kashmir. # Bollywood Stars On Article 370

Besides, the Government additionally requested the division of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories. While the Union Territory of Ladakh will be without a council, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will be with a governing body.

So after that decision, Bollywood industry celebrities like Ekta Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Anupam Kher, Dia Mirza, Maanvi Gagroo, Vikrant Massey, and more celebrities took to Twitter to share their responses.

Following the decision, the famous Hindi television producer Ekta Kapoor wrote, “It’s a radical decision but need of the hour!! Only hope Kashmir stays safe! #HistoricalDay”.

 

Anupam Kher who is a legendary Bollywood actor and BJP member also tweeted, “HAVE WOKEN UP IN NY TO THE BEST NEWS OF MY LIFE ABOUT KASHMIR…..  THANK YOU GOD, #GovtOfIndia, @NarendraModi @AmitShah. CONGRATS INDIA.”

Dia Mirza who is an Indian model, actress, and Miss Asia Pacific of 2000 also posted on Twitter that, “My thoughts are with #Kashmir. Praying for peace #KashmirNeedsAttention.”

 

Dangal movie actress Zaira Wasim who recently quit Bollywood also tweeted, “This too shall pass! #Kashmir.”

 

Actor Ranvir Shorey also tweeted, “Welcome move on #Kashmir by the govt. It will go a long way in resolving the issues in the state and bring peace and prosperity to its people. Haters can go on hating. Hope the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits will begin soon too.”

 

Atul Kasbekar also took to Twitter and wrote, “Time to unconditionally back the govt on this decision IMO. A huge call has been taken n it needs everyone’s support now. I hope we also extend much love n every kind of support to the people of Kashmir so that they feel more n more connected over time. One India. Jai Hind.”
